possibly, unless they have decided the dlll for this is ok. tough i know but the fact its under the heading of security should tell people enough about why they've clamped down, there must be a concern about an exploit / cheat / hack there. i'd assume they'll authorise it soon if it's currently not valid
That begs the question: WHY? If iRacing had made their own telemetry tool, I guess it could be understood, but now it's just weird.. has there been an official statement about this?
The newest version of SoftTH doesn't work either, they're only allowing 0.8 although the 0.9 RC has been out since January and that's essentially what everyone uses. It ceases to amaze me how iRacing always seems to drop the ball. How hard is to create a thread on the forums saying, "we're changing this, give us feedback for SoftTH" since they obviously don't use it very much and neither do their beta testers, judging by how the multihead implementation in the last build was messed up for some SoftTH users.
This morning they said 0.9 will be supported in the near future, so don't delete that .cfg file just yet. Will have to roll back to 0.8 for now though.
to be fair to them, whilst they should have realised that 0.9RC was in use, they went by the publishers own information so it's partly their fault aswell.
Mosport is out now? Geez.. making it really hard for me to resist buying this thing. I don't even have time for laps in LFS, let alone something which requires dedication like iR.
i just realized i had 40 iracing credits when i thought i only had 6. So it loks like i'll be grabbing the vette and mosport when they're released
My Turbo-S's gas pedal has lost a considerable amount of range. i only hve to press the pedal 70% to get it to register as being pressed 100%. so now when i want to lift off slightly, i'm still going full throttle.
They supposedly didn't change much on the oval side. Just some forced setup options on restrictor plate tracks, and some small engine braking tweaks is all I've hear about I think.
Mosport is pretty awesome. I'm really starting to get back into my road racing groove I think.
Come and join us at the Celtic Club John, we've got a good little club going. All the Scottish, Irish and Welsh iRacing members, one of the smallest in iRacing. Wester Europe champs this season Not down to me I may add!
Had a few laps around Mosport in the Spec Racer Ford, it surely is a fun track.
Anyone else noticed the adjustable mirrors in the cars now?
Hmm maybe time for another bit of good natured banter with the English, wonder if they need more driving lessons?
Hah the mirrors have been adjustable since last build
Everyone should give the new mazda a go
The rear tires have a ton less grip. You can jump curbs and there is a lot more grip off track now as well. You can peel out for quite a ways from a stop...just one tire spinning though. The rear end steps out now if you stab the gas too soon as well.
I'd say the new tire changes are a pretty decent step forward. I can't wait to see how the corvette and the indy car drive with them (only those 3 cars have the new tires atm).
The mazda got new tires because the real car had a change in the rules for this season I guess.
mazda feels so different and in a nice way love the looks of the new wings on it aswell, the rear wing definately gives more aerogrip at higher speeds. mosport is brilliant, i can understand what the fuss about it now and the smoke and dust makes such a distance with road racing, less chance of being suprised by a wreck over the top of a crest now.
and you know what? in 1 way i'm kind of glad the HUD isn'tt available as it means everyone has to work that bit harder and use their brains to find the missing time. if iracing gave us a telemetry screen with splits for each lap when we were in the garage i'd be happy without a HUD
