While in the Shift U view, the option to Invert Mouse inverts all axis, not just the Y axis. Very awkward to use left goes right, and right goes left.
I had patch z22 and got the z22 to z25 patch.

Also, has anyone mentioned anything about a car setup option to change the tyre temperatures after leaving the pits? I know certain categories of car racing can warm up their tyres (several different methods involved) to their own custom temperature before the car goes on track. Just an idea, I don't know if others have thought of it before. This is only my 2nd post after years of LFS'ing.

Thank you,
zaoc.
Well that's how the mouse invert works. If you don't want it to be left-right, right-left, select No.

No, it's actually not. In every other version of LFS it's inverted only the Y axis. In most other games with the option to invert the mouse, you can choose which axis you want inverted and so fourth.

Much like the pedals in Options / Controls / Axis. You can customise all of them to suit your needs. In z25 they screwed up the invert mouse in Shift U view.

Worse comes to worst, they should have options for which axis are, or aren't inverted.
I'm not sure what you're saying, the invert mouse function has always been like that. It's not supposed to just invert the Y-axis.

It provides two conceptually different movement methods. In normal mode, the landscape is static and you move the camera around - your mouse movement directs where the camera points. When inverted, the camera is static and you 'grab' the landscape and move it around, like in some RTS games.

I guess what you wanted to post is an improvement suggestion that gives you the additional possibility to just invert the Y-axis, but you made it sound like the existing functionality is broken or has been broken by Z25.

E: I checked an older version now, and actually the invert function has just been switched around. In older versions the inverted mode worked like the normal one I described and vice versa. However, it has never worked the way you describe.

E2: I'm not sure anymore, maybe it was always switched around and I'm just imagining things.
It inverts both mouse axes in Z too.

- Sorry, but no. The invert mouse has not always been like this. If it was, I wouldn't have noticed any difference when using shift u for the first time in z25.

- I'm talking about when I move the mouse in a forward direction, the camera looks down. When I bring the mouse closer to me, the camera looks up. I don't know how many First Person Shooter games you play, but I've been using Inverted Mouse for many years. Again I say, if there was no issue here, I wouldn't have noticed anything, and wouldn't have made this thread.

- Broken? No, just different to what it used to be. If they can't revert back to the way it was before, then yes, an option for inverting each individual axis would be good.

- Maybe I described it in a confusing manner. If so, then my bad. When the mouse is moved left, the view should move to the left, same for right, but with Inverted Mouse, up should go down, and down should go up.

E2: I'm not sure anymore, maybe it was always switched around and I'm just imagining things.

FlameCZE: You don't understand. If it was always like this, I wouldn't have noticed anything and this thread wouldn't exist. Something HAS changed.

I would also like to note, that I have spent alot of time making layouts, so I have used the Shift U custom view quite alot. It's also the viewing mode I use when recording in-game, real time videos with fraps.
I have tested it in Y20 (just some version I had lying around), it is no different to how it works now.

Most of the layout's I built, have been during version Z and Z beta tests. Unless it was always like this, but I've just been using z13 for so long, that I thought it was normal. Maybe they didn't fix it in the beta tests, seeing as how z25 is an official release (at least I read somewhere it was).
