Go i5.
Well i didnt wanna go for i5 or 7 but lookang at the prices if i dump 100$ more i get THIS combo. what you think about this? should i go for this? Dont want to go for better coz its too much money,as i need few more parts too
Looks like a good combo. Don't know what you're planning to do with it, but it looks good. Don't know about the motherboard, I don't hear that much good things about Gigabyte motherboards. They're fine for normal use, but most people have problems when they overclock or whatever.
I'd say go AM3. Non-dead socket (775 is dead/dying), DDR3/2, competes with i5 for a fraction of the price. I got a used 790fx mobo for $65, a phenom II x2 550 for $75, and quality 4gb DDR2 for $40.

Use the money saved to get a better heatsink, either a Xigmatek s1283 or a coolermaster v8 would be my recommendations. Might want to get a better graphics card, too. Not sure what you're using.

edit: this should be fine if you want to buy new: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ ... spx?ItemList=Combo.250093.
I'd still recommend getting a 720 and a used 790fx motherboard, though.

edit again: theres a guy on OCN selling a 955 and ddr3, sold the mobo unfortunately. Link is here: http://www.overclock.net/sale/ ... fx-ddr3-toxic-4890-a.html

i will be using mostly for rendering, and few games. i heard too about gigabytes, but also about intels too. i mean the mobo 4x winner of costumers choice.

thanks but i dont like amd since the old times, probably its good now but i stuck at intel+nvidia
Is it just me or cant edit posts?

Well if THIS combo is fine, ill go for it
Fix the link and I'll tell you if it's good or not. But it seems that Newegg is having some problems of their own atm.
Personally, I've never had any issues with ASUS mobos. They would always be my manufacturer of choice when it comes to motherboards.
i put it together like 2 months ago now,i had no problem yet with any of the parts, best pc i ever had
did you end up going i7? i went to microcenter in NJ and picked up a cpu from there. the 1st stage of my new build is almost complete. just waiting for new case to get here
yup,got that combo deal with the i7,its running at 3.4 on stock cooler
