It was a timing issue the cars did not set identical times...

Watching the video it seems strange to me that Schumacher could throw away 3tenths in the last sector when it looked like nothing went wrong. Can't find any sources on that timing issue theory of mine maybe it was in a dream

Eh, seriously... 5-6 crashes in one and the same turn, wrecked cars standing there already and audience not moving at all... isn't there some race control or such to warn those racers to take it slower in that one turn ?

Remember this? Well, they went back to the Island earlier this month for another round of the championship and there was very nearly another big shunt. Due to a miscommunication the safety car was sitting on the track a little way down from pit exit waiting for the leader to come. When the leader did come (after exiting the pits) the safety car did not pull away, leaving the leader idling behind him flashing his lights and eventually being forced to drive past. What was more dangerous, though, was the fact that some of the drivers were coming down the main straight at close to racing speed, trying to keep position under the safety car.

That looks pretty rediculous, the onboard with Courtney is scary, could have been a massive shunt if the JD car didn't move over.
What I don't get is that in the article about it it says the safety car was waiting to pick up Whincup, yet when he appears behind the safety car it just sits there?

I was expecting that to be the shortest video in the world. Turns out it actually is, most of it doesn't have footage of the races in it!
one of the comentators on youtube pointed out that the Audis lights turn off just when it should have started again, almost like the driver stalled it.

Someone saw the European Superstock 600 championship ? Just saw a review from that on Motors TV. Don't like motorcycle racing mostly, but wow, this was a thrill! Great passing passes, really on the edge racing (how do they keep control of such monsters in those turns!) and championship decission in the last turn of the last round... 1 point difference only. Nuts, kids from 15-20 years old... Need to have balls for this racing!
