US Drivers count
Hey all,

Wondering how many US Drivers are doing BMW Sauber's. Would be nice to get a group from the US to run some races. Seems like most of the servers and racing are in Europe and elsewhere. Raise your hand by posting a reply here if interested in running some of the BF1 cars.
If we have enough interest I would attempt to setup a race server with some bandwidth. Thanks Steve

you should check out eagle race team, they are a all american bunch that has a F1 type series starting soon(i think). they also have a US based server that has a pretty solid ping for those of us over here. pretty nice bunch of guys too.

i for one, dont drive the bf1 all that much. its fun, but i still have to learn to drive the old cars before i learn the new

I've become addicted to the BF1 over the past 2 weeks. Usually I have to create my own game...as I don't really see the point of driving this car on a track like Blackwood or South City Classic.
Thank you for the plug th84, yes Eagle Race Team will be in the SimFIA F1 event for it's first season. While Eagle Race Team is members of the SimFIA and SimFIA is ran by an Eagle, but it's not an eagle event. The eagles would love to have a new member. Like th84 said, check out EagleRaceTeam.com if you would like to know more about the US based team. SimFIA.com for BF1 Formula 1 action.
I'm based in NJ and pretty much race just the open-wheel class...the Fox mostly..but do enjoy the BF1 and the FV8. I'm not sure how the whole SimFia works (was never part of an event in LFS before) would love to be part of some, esp in the US time zone.
If you are interested in driving the other cars too, then look for NASSA by 500Servers. We often have Wednesday evening fun races. We are also supporters of The Original LFS League and the North American League.

I will check out the SimFIA stuff and see if I can fit it into my schedule. Sounds like fun, but it will be tough with the BF1, it is a lot of car.

Id like to join in the SimFIA also, i just dont think i can dedicate the time required. Maybe next time The NASSA Wed. events are also a fun event too, the one's ive done have had a good amount of Americans/Canadians racing. The OLFSL is another good one, i really like the National Standings they started last season.

If these aren't what you looking for and wanted to set something up, id be happy to join in.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but can you give any details about the car/track combos you guys usually run on Wednesday nights? My friends and I (all in the Pacific Northwest US) usually race around 8pm PST. I'd love to race against some more drivers, but I'm not a huge fan of the BF1 or the FO8.

Sounds pretty neat. I'm not the best f1 driver, I'm more of an F08 guy Euro's can have their traction control gizmo and gadgets! Only poking of course!

he usually makes a thread like this each week with the details.

Looks like the race is around 5:00pm PST. Way too early for US West Coast people to play. I'm not even home from work by then.
@sparadise, RedStarArmy & Cue-Ball,

You guys and any others are more than welcome to run on the ||| Land Of The Free server. One of the fastest US based LFS servers. We just accepted our 17th team member, about 6 of us are located in the PST time zone. When our server is not private, you can find it occupied anywhere from
6:00pm to 11:00pm PST or later.

Thursday evenings and throughout the week end are our populated times.

Starting in June we're hosting our first ever team series. Every two weeks on Saturday evenings at 10:00pm EST (7:00 PST).

Our team thread here http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=4743

If your interested in an all American team that stretches from coast to coast, check out our team website.

haha you too? I'm in North NJ. Would like to race bf1s sometime.
GTZ Motorsports is all American but we need some more team members.
BF1 Cars
Just checked my thread and glad to see there are some US. I am located on the west coast. Please hijack this thread all you want with available US racing. I wil be checking out the posts above, looks like they are some great racing opportunities out there.
I'm a little suprised at the reluctance to run the BF1 cars, they are awesome. If you get the setup they aren't that tough to drive, just takes some practice. When I started at Blackwood I was running around 1:00 flat, now 56's are pretty routine with my best a 55.9 so far.

The fourth event in our Summer Series is the BF1 at Aston GP (REV).
Saturday, July 15th at 10:00pm EST.
Its an "Open House" type event in honor of our first series. Everyone is welcome.
I'm sure in the meantime we'll find some pick up BF1 races on our server.

What county are you? Im in middlesex

Marsh2a- 10pm EST is a perfect time for me..im on the east coast...ill try to get on your server sometime when i see it.

We start practice and qual at about 5pm, but don't actually start the race until 6pm or 6:30 pm Pacific time. They mostly try to do that in honor of me and another team memeber who are on the west coast. I am in Oregon the other is in BC.

The events can be really fun and are very casual. Unfortunately, I will have a conflict this summer because of softball games on Wednesday nights
Im in! not that talented yet though.. :P

i reside in California!? is that a problem timezone wise?!
SimFIA's GP2 has no drivers as of yet. You can join and start thowing you weight around as a driver. I would not mind changing the setup of GP2, to get more drivers, but F1 will remain as is. Also, keep in mind, If your in F1 you can't be a driver in GP2 but that is the only limitation. You can be in F1 and anyother SimFIA event.

not really, well, only by 3 hours, you would be with tweaker, he lives somewhere outside (i think its outside?) of LA also, he'd have to post though cause im not positive

as for me.. i havent driven much of anything else except the formula lol, since the patch the only other car i have actually raced was the XFGTR (dunno why, just felt like it lol)
/me raises hand...

I am an American, member of EAGLE, and 100% F1. I do love FOX too, but I am just all about the BF1 now. I don't race the oval, because to me, its a bad combo, but I am all about haveing a race at a kool circuit. I am in the SimFIA F1 Season, and looking forward to it! See you dudes around. If you need me PM me! Also, to any west coast racers, I am in LA as well, so...ya

Peace
