According to AVG, this site 'alledgedly' contains elements from a site that possibly hosts malware.

I don't believe this to be the case for one second, and its almost certianly a mistake on AVG's part, but i just thought i would post this just in case, as it is kind of a bug.

Does the forum have anything to do with it hosted on ess-a.com, maybe banners or something??

As i say i doubt its an actual LFS forum problem anyway, probably AVG having a moment, but just letting you know anyway.

is that avg that's doing it? because i know firefox has an identical page for their built-in google evil-list thingy...

either way, you're probably right about it being a image, might be a userbar, an avatar, or a banner... hard to say, let's see what vic has to say.

As i said, i very much doubt that its a fault of the forum, but thought i'd better mention it just in case.

So, nobody panic, its probably the AVG thing having a spazzy moment, or as you said bunder, maybe its the browsers warning system and not AVG, either way though, i reckon its just an odd error.

avg might be correct. In your post http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=1026351#post1026351 there is also an image tag <img src="http://ess-a.com/hkblog/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/terry.jpg" border="0" alt="" />

Look at the source of the page and search for ess-a and you'll find it. Since you placed that post I would verify your computer with another anti spyware or av scanner.

Thinking about it, i will remove that image from that post and do a search to see if comes up elsewhere. I have to delete these to prevent that site tracking our users.

i only found one other post dating back to 2008. Same image url though interestingly enough.

odd though, your post is from january .. hmm i'm a bit confused. Still we're prolly better off without that image link in that post.

All avatars are hosted on lfsforum.net and there are no userbars.

And neither of them has been or is being used by any of the users that had posted on that particular page of the thread, at least not with the default setting of posts per page

It's incidental that that image also screams at me in Safari.
