a domain user is a user where everything is stored in LDAP on the AD server... whereas a local user, is just a local user.
going back to domain users for a second, the credentials do get stored on the local machine, in case there are no local users and the connection to the AD server is unavailable. but as soon as you contact the AD server again, it'll pull down the appropriate settings.
if it is a school pc, and your... *not* in school just access the admins pc and change his pc, reset all limits and fill his/her pc full of spy ware or brick it.
if not... who buys a school pc's their shitty spec :|
But he's asking about a local user, isn't he? He said he has a school machine, presumably meaning it's in his possession and not at school, unless his story is complete bullshit. Getting Admin on the domain in our school was pretty easy too, what kind of a competent tech guy leaves "admin" as a full Admin login with no password The same one who leaves the default admin login on all the wireless routers in the place I suppose, but that means I can sell places on the MAC whitelist so I'm not complaining
I bougth it, but for low price, so have to use that laptop for school work untill i quit. When i quit i have to pay a tiny bit more and they will remove all the blocking, and tada, my pc.
Sorry for bump but Shadowww, i got an idea how to find admin password.
When i have somekind of problem with my pc i can go to the nerds and they will type in the admin pass and help me.
If there is a way that a program saves what it logged in with. So when i go to my acc, there is a logg that says the password.
And how would a keylogger help in this case? SW keylogger is completely useless, he cannot install anything on his limited user account. Any other keylogger is useless too unless you make an admin to log onto your PC.
Since you cannot boot from CD (btw, there is usually a boot-menu which doesn't require a password, try pressing F10 - F12 during boot), there is another way left. You can try pwdump7 to get the password hashes and use them to calculate the password. I don't know if pwdump7 works when you account has a limited privileges, but it's worth a try.
I have a laptop, that i own 50% on and school 50%, I payed 800 kr (about 100 dollar (bad guess) and it cost orginally 5000kr (I can use it whereever i want) But at the end of the school year, I need to pay another 800 kr to have it 100% mine, or else they will take it back.
If i pay then i have the admin, and i can install stuff on it.
Atm I have no admin, and i want to figure it out, there is no system or shit.
I only want to know the admin password to install programs i use on my main pc. I dont want to fock up anything
If i have a pc problem i can go to them and they go on the admin account
