I use it and i find it really comfortable.
You can build a little online archive and access it from every computer connected to the net.
Not to mention that you can share a folder with someone and anything dropped into it will be at the disposal of both.

Didn't they opened registration for everybody already?

They did... and do. But you can get more space for free on dropbox, if you invate a new user. Otherwise you need to pay for extra space.
I use this services just for sharing files

I hope they don't watch out for fake invitees.
