Usage on camber...illustration
There have been a couple of threads lately why to use camber and to what degree... I found a picture, I think it illustrates nicely...

http://www.motorpix.co.uk/images109/op-32.jpg

the outer tire is pushed with the entire "thread" on the surface, while the inner tire is somehow tilted...

thought to share it in the beginners-forum....
Well as they say - sharing is caring

That's what the forum is all about
you can see the rear-left tyre being nicely pulled across, just like LFS physics
Sorry to be a complete noob (beginners section and all that) but I don't understand. It looks to me like the front right tyre is only in partial contact with the road...I would assume that you would want the whole of the tyres contact patch on the tarmac.

Could someone explain please? Preferably using simple terms and short wording!
it's a right corner so most weight is loaded onto the left front tyre and the right is mostly "unemployed"...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camber_angle

when the car is cornering, the car rolls a bit and the negative camber is needed to get + contact to the tarmac on the tire with + load
Ahhhh....all becomes clear. Thanks guys.

I was just thinking the same thing

I'm waiting for someone to complain of too much tire deformation in that picture... It must be a bug
