The online racing simulator
Reality and fiction mixed. Driving the LX6 for real!!
I think nobody have done this before, and here it is:

Me driving the LX6 inside the game.

It can be improved a lot with better resources.

I hope you like it and that it could open a new path for sim racing videos.

Enjoy

Pedal view inverted or what? I`m pretty sure you don`t accelerate with the left foot in real life .
It`s an interesting concept .
Yes, it's inverted because I tought it was more "natural" but I see it doesn't lol

all you needed to do is flip it horizontally in your video editor.

otherwise its great.
heh, now... thats a very interesting concept (its not new, a lot of people thought of it, but yours is the first one I see actually realised.
Now, Im actually wondering as to how you did that. I know green screening, but that would require you to drive in front of a green screen blocking the monitor. So that's the trick Im still trying to guess. Good job on the work anyway.
Doesn't Apple's Photobooth have a thing where you take a picture of the background, so everything that was in the background becomes transparent. Then anything on the screen that changes isn't transparent. I think that's what's been done here, only with video.

Great idea and well done!

My video editing experience with apple is quite poor, and dated, if Im honest. I could make a simplistic movie in Finalcut, but not going into more advanced stuff (not without a week of acclimatisation and reading tutorials that is). Maybe thats the technique that was used here, I don't know, but if actually works like you've said it does, Im very impressed by Apple's software at this point.
It could be masked out as well...

And BTW, that freaking rocked!

You are right, that was one of my (many) problems. It was solved using an auxiliar video projector, slightly placed on the right, out of the camera's angle, wich I used to see the road.

I had to cover everything in blue in order to do the chroma effect. This is my first video with that technique and my conclussion is that the background has to be prepared as good as you can to get acceptable results.

Anyway, my target was to do an original video

Thanks for your comments.

You surely succeeded, apart from the minor details I freakin' loved it.
More!!

I've been setting up a greenscreen in home-made conditions for a project for my friend (She's a Vlogger and needed holiday themes in the background for some reason I couldn't care about cause she has great boobs), so I'll just tell you what I've learned (not much)
My only advice - keep the green (blue) well lit, and make sure it it tightly stretched not to produce any shadows on itself. That will make for the best chroma keying due to less color and tone changes.
Thank you squidhead, my next video will be much better
Nice effects. The only thing I noticed (other than your tendancy to get near the tyres, hehe) was that 'your' wheel carried on turning a fraction after the 'car' wheels stopped. I know thats all LFS setup and ratio stuff, but it just looked a little wierd.

Nice effect though.
Hehe nice ! Very good idea
Very good. I would like to place the main camera a bit higher, to let you see the front of the car. Keep it up!
