Currently when there is a kick/ban vote, a lot of people just mash 1 without knowing anything about what happened. Now a wonderful thing to avoid this would be an against vote - where people who know what happened could vote against the kick/ban.

Ideas?

Would be open to abuse by team-mates of the ofendee - if there's 5 of you on server, they just press 2 [or whatever] and hey ho you're off the hook

I was on a Carpark Server and there were many Hungarians, they just pressed ban vote and i was banned.

Since a majority is required to ban (correct?) Isn't choosing to vote against the ban vote, the same as choosing NOT to press 1 ?

Maybe I am wrong?

In some polls (outside LFS), you can vote for, against or not vote at all. Our parliament members vote this way for example.

In practice, I don't think it would be much of a success since there is usually not too many people on a server to make a difference. As it was said before, not voting in this case is equivalent to voting against and for me it's much easier (especially during a race) not to press a button instead of pressing it.
