Didn't find any posts having same prob as i do. I get disconnection every 10~ mins. Im using 15m internet, "uh" wireless. Still, everything else works perfectly, but just happens to be that LFS disconnects whenever it wants to, so all the time. This makes training and races painful. Is there any solutions to fix this prob?

And yeh, for those who are going to whine about the darn wireless, there's nothing i can do about it, i dont have long enough cable :/

What O/S are you running.

Is this a new problem or has it always done that?

Windows Vista Home Prerium.

Since i got this new laptop, its been doing this all the time, but first weeks werent this bad. (i got this a month ago)
This didnt happen with my old laptop
do you have anything else using the internet whilst you run LFS?
maybe try shutting down all other processes, still same?

does the laptop have the option to connect a dedicated wireless antenna?

you could try moving the laptop 90 degrees to possible make the arial work better, worth a try.
(I have read somewhere about disabling QOS in internet options, but I know little about it, or if it even helps, so Ill leave that for others to comment on)

buy a long patch cable?

good luck.

SD.

The trouble with wireless connections and games is that the wireless network searches for a wireless connections every so often and creates the lag in game, some times is just a stutter other times in worse.

With XP I was able to disable the windows wireless software and use the software that came with the wireless card and hey presto, no more stutter every few minutes.

With Vista it was rubbish because you can't fully disable the windows wireless software, BUT, you can get a small program that works its magic to stop it. Can't remember what it's called so google, vista wireless stutter or something.

Hopefully that's what it is.

I use Windows 7 now and I have a cable connection.
