Calling OSX developers!!!
I would happily pay €4.99 for an iPod/iPhone app that is similar to the other software available for Windows, ie. the Virtual LFS Dashboard.

Has anyone tried or attempted to make such an app?

(my iPod sits snugly resting on my G25 shifter, how awesome it would be to have telemetry etc. there)

Ya !

....and we need like five or so slideable screens like the tyre data on one, spring data on the next, and gear and adjustable(depending on the car) SHIFT NOW!!! light!

This would looks so effing sweet on the shifter imo
It's not terribly hard (if someone knew Objective - C along with how to do freaking TCP/IP Sockets... but I don't )
I know both; not together though that could likely be learned quick enough;

Problem is I won't be doing this task anytime soon as I don't have a mac to develop on, test with etc. . .

...noone you know knows the LFS TCP/IP Socket ropes???

...another option I suppose is to run a windows VM at a screen size of 480 X 320(is that possible?)with LFS Virtual Dashboard, I'm guessing that that size would not suit the software though...LFS Dashboard designed for 480 X 320 might work???
Or someone could make some ajax/php web page pack it with some portable lamp server that would be started on same computer running LFS. There is iwebkit that allows making web sites/pages optimized for iPhone and that can run in full screen just as normal app would work and look. I made some webapp (not related to LFS) and I would be willing to provide help if needed.
You can't run a VM on an iPhone due to lack of software and it'd be slow.. along with conflicting architectures.

A native app is possible, but I just don't know anything

...sorry, I did not make myself clear.

I was talking of running a VM on the PC and running the software inside the VM in-turn remote desktopping to the VM from my iPod. Just a basic quick fix untill the real goods arrive
