Here's a metal flake bmp brush. it is silver but you can easily change the color by editing it and adding an overlay color layer with your color!

I use PSP7 so I can just place that in the patterns folder and I can use it like a color on a brush hope it works on other programs

Hansonator uses CS3 if he gets it to work I'll post here.

Try putting color as new layer and making opacity around 75... overlay was for something else.

You could just add noise via filter options.

what resolution did you use for the paint?
i did 2048 but 1024 might work better

It looks fine on my skins, I have PSP7 so its a completely different program, what I do is put it on a brush and itll paint that texuture.
