imo its all about materials,and the models u put in a scene,thats an other question how is the renderer set up.

ok you're righ at this point, but some renderers are better than others.
mental ray for example, its too "cartoon", vray, fryrender are much better, u can see it in Boekanier renders, they're good, but they doesnt seem real. compare it with mines, with mogster's, with tolas's, even with urs.

i know how to work with mental-ray, v-ray, brazil and fryrender, so i can say that mental-ray is worst imo. v-ray and fryrender are much more realist imo.

No offence, but you don't. MR is one of the leading renderers used in movies and TV productions - it wouldn't be so if it was a bad and "cartoonish" renderer.

No offence to Boekanier, but it's not like he's the benchmark of what can be achieved - see, you are still missing the point about renderers vs user. You should instead have a look at the different renderers website and then compare.

Ok, but I still think that V-Ray is better. I've seen 1.000.000 of renders today, I think that V-Rayis better for me, maybe it's my taste, I dunno.

it is the intent of the scene and what materials you use.

Here you make or break you render them.

I get no money for it. it is a hobby.
and it has to do with taste, I fully agree with you.
it's like a painting you do not like or you like it.
it is a matter of taste.

and luckily I do not know everything, otherwise it is not fun anymore if you know everything.

I am not a professional and as long as there are people who like them, I continued learning and post my renders here. some times V-ray some times M-ray. for me there is no best.

Haha...This was tricky. Leo failed there, no offense to anyone.
I think you guys should stop arguing. It's obvious some people are better and some people are worse, but the person that has bigger experience, can do much better things with a bad program, than one of the newest programs. And there is one more thing, EVERYONE has their own taste, so renders, screen shots, videos will always be different.

For example. Lynce uses one of the first photoshops (not sure what it was called), but he makes one of the best screen shots you see in this forum. And most of the other people use much better and newer software, even tho it doesn't mean they are better.

You're right, it depends on the taste/materials/settings of the scene. But I PREFER V-Ray.

i never liked these 'best render engines' fights... there is no best. every render engine has its flaws, just like humans.

JazzOn Did an awesome job on it and I would love to have a equally awesome desktop wallpaper of it May be as big as you want to go, but it'll have to fit 1280x800 at least If possible with normal slick tires.. and maybe just a plain tarmac background.. or anything you see fit..
