Quote from bozo :Trying to find the correct grid slot might be a challenge

While quali-mode is still on there's a position list being displayed in the upper right. You just have to switch names over cars on and look into the list.
Let's make an example. We're doing a formation lap on BW with the times from the quali. I pass you, look in the list and see that I still need to pass Ant[uk] to get to my position, because I'm listed just above Ant. For the example's sake we'll assume that I then I accidentaly pass Ant and Bean0 during the formation lap for some reason. I'll have Dan in front of me and see that I must have passed Bean0, because my qualitime was slower than his. I fall back and get into my position.

And even if the formation-lap ends up in a bit confusion it isn't that bad. More importantly there is no wreckage and no one can accidentaly put a better qualitime down in that timeframe (for example those guys who did a really bad qualitime can improve accidentally by just having fun on the track).
Please note that this doesn't require a lot of self-discipline. You don't even have to finish the formation-lap in quali-order. We're just driving somewhere where Dan can do a quick tab-key-count of the cars to make sure that everyone's on the track (and no one went afk or something). I just chose the format of a formation lap because that's quite near to real racing.

Sounds like a good idea Vain, if everyone is in agreement we can try it out on the next race?.

It is a good idea, and yes let's give it a go.

My comment really is that with 22 cars coming out of the pits in random order, there will be a lot of cars trying to overtake and move position. Might see some cars being knocked around.

We could bring some order to the chaos, like drive on the left if you're in position (or waiting for others to overtake), and drive on the right to overtake. Just like being on the road (in UK), which is apt given that we're at South City next
