I have just purchased a 3DConnexion SpaceExplorer and it appears LFS wrongly detects it as a controller. In my control panel, under game controllers, I have my 360 controller and my Porsche Wheel (connected by wireless, not USB, so the pedals are not a separate device). Yet in LFS, it says 3 controllers detected.

The result of this, is that all the controls are messed up and my wheel now seems to be constantly shaking when I am moving... which didn't happen before I plugged in my SpaceExplorer.

Is there any way to force LFS to only use controllers that the system designates as "Game Controllers" and not ones LFS thinks might be Game Controllers?

Edit: I managed to disable my device, I'll figure out the shaking problem later.

For anyone else who has a troublesome device, here's what I did. Run DXDiag and see if the device is listed there under "Input". If it is, make a note of the deviceID. The go into Device Manager and go through the HID Devices until you find the matching deviceID. Then disable that device to stop it causing the problem. Obviously, if you need the device active, then you have a problem. Fortunately, I dual boot and my SpaceExplorer isn't needed where my games are.
