As the master server is down right now I think it's time some one gave this idea to the devs. We should be able to connect to the server via IP address so that when the master server goes down we can still race online. In the hostname box instend of putting in the host name, you put in the IP address and it connects that way. No middle man needed.

I was thinking about it all the time and I was about to post the same. It's much easier if you dont want to look for a server. Just type in IP like in Americas Army.

Hi Guys,
You would need still the master for that.Where do you think come from a list of servers?Its master server.It works like that in every game.
If you know IP adress you can still connect to the server if its not connected thru master server thought.
