There already is crowd on several places e.g. in the outside of T2 on BL RallyX. Cant remember, where they are on the other tracks, but Im sure, that I've seen them there, too.

There should be more spectators though... one thing I always hated about most road racing games in the lack of fans around the circuit.

Everytime I've been to a race theres been thousands of fans all over the place... Except Mont Tremblant where you're pretty much stuck in the one area =/

Yeah, and we need sounds for a cheering crowd. I doubt they sit there all silent IRL

Would be nice to have changing amount of spectators, for example almoust empty stands in practice, half-full in qualification and full in races. And in offline practicing there would be no spectators at all.

While racing you could probably hear those horns only, yes, but while standing besides them you should also hear the cheer. Actually in LFS I never really feel like I'm partaking an official race, and even though there are the crowd pictures, I don't actually recognize them as spectators. They just look like cardboard stands - a little animation and cheer could make them much more alive.

but then you'd probably be too far behind.. so .. ya, go up, have a chat then possibly push your uf1k around the track and still win :up:


im all for it UNLESS... UNLESS we get stuff like GT4's spectators, at first sight its all pretty cool, but after going around the track 3 or 4 laps.. your like.. okay, this is getting kinda old, hey.. didnt that guy get the same picture of me last lap? so ya, anything that can be reproduced randomly is nice

I think it would add a lot to creating a racing day atmosphere. Real drivers say they do hear people cheering, and of course those horns.

Different amounts of people depending on the session also sounds like a great idea
