Hardly No People in LFS2?
Hey Guys,

I just purchased the real version of LFS2 yesterday, I have been using the Demo before. Anyways when I go online, and click display list of games in S2 and theres like 1 person in all the rooms? There are a lot more people in the demos? am I missing something? just doesnt make sense becausee it says theres like 400 users online.

Thanks
Time comes into it. The busiest time are European evenings, so have a look then. But the number of Stateside racers is slowly increasing so I'd have thought you should see more.
Currently 155 licensed racers are online on 34 S2 servers. The number you see on the page is licensed and demo combined.

Are you sure that you have the correct version installed? Also, if you mean the meeting room, nobody is ever there. I dunno why, probably because its use is somewhat limited - more people are on IRC or hog the LFSW chatterbox.

Just to make sure, are you using the latest patch? Because if you're not there will be server mismatches and you'll only see hosts that are running the same version as you.
also, keep a watch at LFSworld (www.lfsworld.net) and when you get there the first thing shown is a graph with how many people on [if not, click on the home button]

which looking at it right now shows that its pretty constant, because it was about the same 24 hours ago, so in about 5-7 more hours we should peak with most players online im guessing
basically all I did was buy it, then I already had the program I just clicked on unlock LFS2. on the bottom, and put in the game password thing. Is there something else I must do in order to find people to race?

thanks guys
Hum, you'll find the most players if you
1) have the most up-to-date patch
2) search during peak hours (European evenings)
3) select the right filters (Public and Full, you don't need Private and Empty).
go to the www.liveforspeed.net site download the latest patch and unpack into you main LFS folder.

go to multiplayer and display list of games check S2 is selected ,also try clicking on "all" on the top right and check your filters at bottom I select to not show empty or private servers remember to refresh .

hope this helps.

ok.. i see what your talking about. What patch should i download? there seems to be 3?
Racin Jason, It isn't always like it was last night. The racers were very very sparse last night. I imagine many folks over here were extending their picnicing out into the late night and wasn't on the computer. I only saw 5 servers last night and the Argentina guys were the only ones that had enough racers on.

Normally, you see 15-20 servers for our time (yea, not many, but we don't seem to have as many "poor drivers" as LFS Prime time does). You can usually see several servers that are quite full. LOTF, UKCC, Core, DRT and the Brazil server usually at the bottom of the list, almost always has 10 to 15+ racers (missed some servers I'm sure).

Just wait until after Memorial Day when all the picnics and barbaques are over with and you'll see more.

If you now start LFS, which version is displayed at the bottom of the screen?
when I download a patch where do i save it to? inorder for it to go into affect?

save it to your lfs folder and then open that folder, right click the patch's zip file, and "extract to here"! Happy racing, cya on track!
most people are on around 3pm eastern time if i remember correctly
I had the same first impression. It was like there were more demo racers than S2 licensed racers. Today I had the day off and played in the afternoon and there 3x more S2 races going on then I had ever seen.

It seems this game is more popular in Europe than the U.S. So, the best times to race will be on Saturday and Sunday afternoons if you're in the U.S. And maybe right after work/school 5pm EST on weekdays.

This game is really great, I'm sure it will only grow in popularity.

during european prime times there's an average number of 800+ people online, but nearly half are demo racers. at weekend this number could easily top 1000. but man, it's still too slim a figure for such a great sim isn't it?

WE NEED MORE PEOPLE!
You'll have another S2 user... soon.

In the evenings during the week and on the weekends, you can find a good half dozen servers with very low ping rates right here in the states. CoRe and Land Of The Free both have the fastest servers in the USA and are quite busy in the evenings.

Welcome to S2

I remember when I first came to S2 I also was suprised by how few people there were on the S2 servers! But then I thought how it didn't matter because LFS needed new members like me so I had more people to race against.

That made no-sence but I don't care, I know what I'm on about
If you want a crowded race track get into South city Classic in the evening with a FOX or Kyoto National. You can get trampled on there very easily....
