Im not sure, it should work. If i can find any PS3 owner over here, i could try my HS-1000 USB set.
Why not get a bluetooth one? Mine was £8 off an Ebay shop, easy to connect and crystal clear sound too apparently
Yeah, i use a Bluetooth headset from a mobile phone, crystal clear and works faultlessly.
i have used a bluetooth headset for my ps3 , but after a few months of inactivity i was unable to connect it again.

So i bought the original logitech ps headset with usb cable, and it still works perfect.
There's a general missunderstanding about headsets, atleast for me. Do you mean headsets for communication, or headsets so you can play in late hours? That kind of headsets work if you plug them into your speakers, i recently bought some from Plantronics. I'm not sure if there are some specificly for PS3.. like to be able to plug them without the speakers.
The ones you mean where you plug them into your speakers are usually called "headphones", the mic/headphone combos for communication are "headsets"
Oh, that cleares it up..
I used a Logitech USB headset which worked perfect when I used my PS3 with Killzone 2, headset worked perfect, I prefer to use a proper headset than a crappy bluetooth thing that needs charging

My advice is just to get a USB headset
It depends how often you use it, i only use mine on CoD when im in a party with my mates. So bluetooth works find for me, I just leave it charging when i'm not using it.
How do you hook up your bluetooth headset to your ps3. I would certainly give that a try since I've got some of them around here.

Just go to the headset options, or whatever it's called, there's a quick setup option, turn on your headset, and follow the instructions.
