Yeah, I can understand not wanting to drive in the winter, ODOT uses crazy amounts of salt, I dont even like driving my s*** mobile on the roads in the winter (I love the snow, just not the rust).
Cats usually don't scratch cars, since they don't use their claws when sitting/walking on cars. If they "slide" down your bonnet and the car is dirty, it might leave some scratches... nothhing you couldn't polish out again tho.

I've bought an Alfa Romeo GT. Not much slower than the GTV even though it's a diesel, but a lot more comfortable.
