Yeah I know, its a joke.

Its a notebook, so I am only expecting 20-30 FPS at best anyway, but seriously...5?

I know something is wrong because about 3 months ago it ran fine at 25-35 FPS.

This is all I can find on it:

Intel Pentium Dual Core 1.86GHz
Processor T2130
1024MB memory
120GB Hard Disk Drive

I'm using windows Vista, (I know it has a minimum of 2GB) but will installing XP or W7 really increase my FPS?

My screen is 1920x1080 (external monitor) but even if I play the game at the lowest possible resolution, lowest settings and end every other application, the max FPS i'm getting is 9, and thats before I leave the pits. If I drive it drops from 2-5.

Thanks.
Graphic card?
No idea. I tried to upload it to Xfire but it keeps saying information not received, and I despise vista so have no idea how to check what it is.

What? I have no idea why I have low FPS that is why I'm asking here.

run dxdiag, the Device Name on the Display tab will tell you.

My best guess for the low framerate is a combination of:
Not enough RAM (XP might help with this, W7 probably won't)
Rubbish on-board graphics (not even XP will help with this).

Have you tried any other games on it?
Control Panel > Power Options

Check that it isn't set to power saving mode because that can kill the performance

havent tried any other games no...
gfx card is:

VIA Chrome9 HC IGP Family WDDM
Yep, I think that's probably the problem - nothing you can really do about it I'm afraid
Check your power settings anyway, they may be making things worse.

Its on full

Ah well, Guess no LFS for me.

A friend is selling a PC with 2GB RAM, decent processor and decent gfx card (nothing special, its like 3years old) but he paid 1k for it back then. With a 16GB Ipod touch for £200 so I'll probs get that xD

Thanks.

Okay I can say to you that idea.

Your computer sucks.

Not everyone can afford to have a top of the range PC, But yeah its not great spec
1GB memory is nothing these days and Pentium.. well it just sucks

I installed win7 on a PC with 2.4GHz DualCore & 512MB RAM and it runs great on Ultrastar (karaoke game)
Never tried LFS on it but I'd say it be 10-20FPS

First, I didn't say you have to afford have top of the range, I just said what is the case: Pentium, your shit graphics card and only 1GB of memory is not package what LFS requires. And actually, I have as well shit computer: single-core Sempron SI-40, 2GB RAM and integrated HD3200. And with Live For Speed I can run it very smoothly without anti-antialiasing and texture filtering.

And Ultrastar is not heavy game. I guess your destiny says you have to play only sing games. Get new PC or just stay singing.

You'll notice I am not the OP and I dont have problem with running LFS on overything full...
I was just stating that Windows 7 runs on 512MB RAM so then 1GB would be ok and would most likely run faster than Vista..
Plus the PC aint mine its my sisters, so no my destiny is not to sing, nor get a new PC

And basically u come here to post this shit? Gtfo troll.

Try to make a clean lfs installation. Switch all kinds of AA and AF's off, take vsync off and limit it to 60fps. I had a laptop too once that was much weaker, but i ran on about 30fps+. Try 16bit resolution. Also, see if the cpu process and ram run to the max in task manager. Open it before and then run lfs.
