Well there're plenty of teams around. Those that come to mind as mostly, demo, XFG oriented is Repsol and Apexi. Fusion(site down?) team was also there for a while, but I believe they have moved on to S2. I recommend not to limit yourself to just those teams, look into others, there's a teams section in the forum. You will eventually move on S2 as well. Resistance is futile!
Well I have an S2 Lic and still find the XFG my favourite car to race
And if there was a GTi club with regular add-hoc club meetings, (I'm a shift worker and leagues aren't practical for my lifestyle) I'd for one, would be certainly interested So I don't think llew's question was that rediculous
Not everyone out there wants to master the BF1, the UF1 and all the cars in between who has the time for that! I've got a life you know , and can normally only spare 1-2 hours a couple of times a week to play LFS...
Maybe as you say I can't drive RWD cars or maybe I choose to only limit myself to one car, why is that such a problem? It's not to me
To you it may be, but I'm NOT out to make a name for myself in the VIRTUAL world of LFS, for me it is just a means to relax and occasionally find some virtual racing online... Isn't that what LFS is about?
And as such I mostly choose the GTi for several reasons -
1. I have already invested considerable time into learning to drive it.
2. I enjoy driving it.
3. I can always find a race either on S2 or demo.
4. I don't want, at least at this stage anyway, to invest many hours learning other cars to the same level I have learnt to drive the GTi.
In real life there are many things that motivate people to actually take up motor sport, not all aspire to be the top driver in the fastest most spectacular class of car racing... so why should LFS be any different.
We all have different motivations for our interest in motor sport, the great thing about LFS is it doesn't force you to be anything in particular and you can choose to get out of it what you wish so why try to force your version of what LFS "is" onto people that are happy doing something different to you
