I recently upgraded from a crappy little generic 14" monitor to the 19" LG FLATRON M1917S. My problem is that it is quite distorted and a bit blocky. The resolution is 1280x1024. Would anyone be able to help me?

For example it repeats anything a bit. I tried 70Hz and 60Hz aswell as 75Hz, but it doesn't make a difference.

You can't take a screenshot from the problem... screenshot is just digital data and your monitor apparently/likely/maybe has a physical problem/fault. You need a digital camera.

Tried the driver? I don`t really think it`s going to help but worth a try.

it's a bit like trying to take a screenshot of a dead pixel lol.

I have an LG (16:10) and it works perfect.
A friend of mine has a 4:3 one and have the same problem as you.

It could be that both of you have it misconfigured, or Vista/Seven works better with it's LCD optimised fonts

Tested and looks beautiful with LFS but horrid with everything else. I'm on XP.
