Have you tried Windows Update?

If that fails, then I think your joystick is too old and is not supported anymore. You should get a newer one, they're not even very expensive.

what joy would u recomend? im just going to tear it apart for the wheel im building. so i would like 4 axis and the buttons doesnt matter. and cheap . thx
