Where are the fair/clean/competative servers?
Aiiight, straight on case :

I give up. I really canot stand the random racing servers anymore. The wrecking, the absolute T1 nightmare, the blue flag nightmare.. It's just too much to ask of me. I'm going apeshit over and over again, and I swear I would murder some of the drivers if I ever saw them face to face after some of their moves..

So where are them? Where are the good servers? Servers which is not completely filled with analplugs that does everything in their human powers to analy screw you race so hard you'll break a bone just by watching it. It's overkill, it's like trying to open a box of ham with a billion boxopeners, totally oblirating the poor thing.

I have tried the lot, but it's allways the same :
1: I find a new, fresh and great server
2: Server is awesome for 1 week
3: More people joining it
4: Damn the whole god damn thing to hell

It never fails.

So, I beg you on my knees with an emorage-looking face and before I gets an heart attack, please help me find a server where not everyone will try to wreck you in T1, disobey any blue flags or generally behave like twats!

Help me, please, help me
Ugh! I kinda gave up with public racing since CTRA's collapse TBH. Decided to go back after FOX FM Junkies' and then, IHR's raising but the first one is dying and the second one is epically messy, although it can be fun sometimes, if you're happy to not get punted off by some TBO lunatic at turn 1.

I'd say, there are like 4-5 international public servers working good atm, the rest is just underpopulated. Of course it can be fun to have a good race on some exotic combo with 6-7 worthy guys, but this kind of server is deemed to die in like 2-3 weeks from the lack of interrest.
In LFS, there are no good servers any more.

I only race LFS for leagues.
Dead Men Racing

I can guarantee that the racing there will be clean, fair and fun.

However there are a few things to consider ...
  1. the vast majority of our members are mature guys with jobs & families and, as such, the server will only be busy/admin controlled between 7pm -10pm UK time.
  2. we use a set combo for seven days at a time culminating in a 1 hour race on Thursdays at 20:30 UK time.
  3. Wind is on. Fixed cockpit view is on.
Hope you find what you're looking for.

TVE doesn't do cockpit view

OT: I haven't raced at all since about December

Well, both LR|Race Centers are still open for public racing...

TBO needs 800 points, automatic transmission and keyboard is disallowed.

There´s some serious coding/designing/scripting/hacking going on in the background.. but I can´t tell you more at the moment.

LR|Race Center 1 - Cars: XFG, XRG / TBO - Races are about 10 minutes long
LR|Race Center 2 - Cars: NGT / GT2 / GTR - Races are about 15 minutes long
Well I know why this thread started and it is at the moment very difficult to find a balance between a crowded server and a clean server at the same time @S2 ...

Sadly there are a lot of not so talented drivers @S2 and sometimes it is even worse then a demo server

Sad but true.

Yeah, it seems so. I remember the Ready To Roll servers, but they seems to be gone, and after that it's been a nightmare. Tried the IHR - nightmare, and then the other multiclass server - a absolute nightmare...

Everything sounds awesome, there is just one thing with it, I use chase veiw :sorry: Yeah lol, I know it sound rubbish, but I kind of got to love this veiw. Using several cameras at most situations and the sorround speakers to navigate, and tbh.. I think it work quite good - at least better than a lot of the cockpit users
Either way, I might just try some races in cockpit for the laugh of it. But having no FF on the wheel it's hard to get any feedback and I often spin

I remember LR servers, were a great server to be on! But have not seen it online for a while. I'm sorting the games by amount of drivers, so if there is few people on I might just have missed it - I'll check again this evening.

And there we have the real LFS problem
The biggest problem is most people being complete twats and not sharing each other's preferences when it comes to racing. Some numpties think you must have a ranking system where it takes eight months to drive a sodding tbo while they would actually just like to have a go in a ufr. Tbo being tbo makes it even worse as some people don't like them at all and would rather go for gt2.

(I've got some shite on my keyboard btw. But nvm that.)

Some other morons think everyone should share their view of realism when it comes to view and set fcv on even though it makes it no more realistic at all because we are talking about a computer game after all.

Some guys tend to think owning a server makes them driving gods, thus forcing them to put "I/we are admins, do not argue with us, we are always right" in the server rules and ban the majority of people because they like to show people their über powers.

Some noobs are stupid enough to only run the same combo all the time. I mean what the buck? You'd think you'd get tired of Aston at some point but noo...

Then there are the league practising guys, who are obviously big fat amateurs because they practise for their league race in the first place (pros obviously don't.) These guys are populating a server but if it happens to be public it's set to practise or qualifying. I've got to admit though this isn't much of a problem as these servers are mostly passworded.

... I could go on and on with this for another hour. but I cba The point is as there are maybe 500 people online simultaneously of which most of are cruisers, there isn't enough people to fill a server. I believe in the old days when LFS came up when there were even less racers people were less picky on their racing. A server was chosen by the fact that it was populated and no one complained about it being a stupid mrt. People have stopped liking racing. In the end the combo or weather fcv is on or not makes no difference at all if there are people to provide racing. But sadly that doesn't happen any more as racers are prejudiced against a car or a track.

There should be a "stop pick up racing from dying" server which would run a random combo. It would not take long for others to notice the "protest server" if there was a few smart guys to populate it every once in a while.
When people have a different opinion they are not directly "numpties, morons or noobs"

Where does this arrogance come from?

I think we just have to do some servers which got passwords and its for people whos really know what is racing and having fun for driving. But not for only ELITE like Bawbag, Hugo Luis and all that guys...

That's because everyone is on IHR... I used to frequent LR every now and again too, all it needs is some interest stoking, and it could have some decent grids.

I don't buy that... If that were true, F1 would ban practice sessions altogether. I'm sure it's not the only other professional racing championship that allows practice.

Agreeing on many parts of this text

Where are the casual but competative drivers? I just want some fellow n00bs who don't wreck me to race with me
Every moderately populated server will have some kind of degree of crashing. Even pro's crash each other.

If you are banning a lot you suddenly become an admin/driving god, without possible arguing.

Any idea whats being asked here? The impossible.

Another return for the CRC?
RSR GrandAm has alternating track/car combos using everything except the FO8 and BF1.

10 races per combo. No rank/license for car requirements needed.

Only restriction is safety rating. If you come in and wreck, and your rating drops too low you get a week off.

Don't like the combo? Vote to end or come back later.
Well TVE, Ready2roll isn't dead yet, but we had a long period with busy servers where we have experimented a couples of things, so we are resting/hibernating and reflecting on previous experiences.
We are working on some new things and preparing the restart of Dailycious, next month it is one year anniversary for us, so expect to see us back around that time.

What make me sad is that years after years the group of arcade racers is getting bigger while the real sim racers are disappearing slowly.
No offence but it is all about unrealistic settings, exploiting physic's flows, cheats, points, licenses, multiclass, cruising and fast rotations, where are the guys who use to spend time on one track for the sake of improving their driving qualities?

If you organize something, ppls don't even take the time to read the rules properly, always asking questions which can be answered with reading the (f..king) manual or with a simple google search, many don't even know what is a blue flag any more... Is everyone becoming so lazy?

I don't want to give up on sim racing, it is the reason I am here and I will leave LFS before I start becoming an arcade racer.
I think LFS is more than a game, it is a hobby, it takes a long time to improve your driving and learning about the setup of the car, for that you need to love racing and a lot of dedication, so I will keep spending my time here with those guys...even if it means running a less populated servers till they finally returns...
Well put reply, and there are some truths in that. Mainly the idea of having multiclass racing is bad. The reason is that it puts up a lot of limitations, but aswell it causes mayhem due to the fact that some real r-turds "farms" their way to the faster cars, without having no racing skills at all.. and instead of learning the cars they just don't give a damn before they get the faster cars... and we all know how "competative" they are when they finally gets the GTR's.

Hope the RR servers gets more populated soon, the racing there were great and the admin seemed cool / relaxed but fair. The same canot be said about the most admins now.. they are just overworked and generally too personal involved.

I hope you can get it populated

I ain't no salesman.
When ppl get sick of what is currently full, they'll migrate somewhere else, just like they always do.
Yo TVE,

You sounded so desperate i feelt sorry for you.
I would have set a server with a combo to your likeing, drummed up some quality peeps for you to race with and watched over you like your little angel.
Now i see you joined R2R there is no need.
Grats, you joined a quality team, have fun.
