The other day, I was sitting infront of my PS3, bored of CoD, and wanted a change of pace from BFBC2. So I dug out Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, I played around with customising my character, modified my load out based off what i'd learned from other FPS games and after playing for around half an hour I was amazed at how games have improved over the past few years, and how the graphics had picked up.

I then searched google to see if a new Rainbow Six game had been announced..

Nothing. Nothing at all. Anyone know if there is something planned?

This is a real shame, because the gameplay of R6 is amazing, and much better than CoD... but the graphics and gameplay "flow" just isn't there.

A new Ghost Recon is coming out soon so I guess a new RS game will be next year.

I never bothered trying Vegas or Vegas 2.

Well, Lockdown, Vegas and Vegas 2 never were real Rainbow six games to begin with... SO I say good riddance. Sadly, they still seem to continue the abomination the once great Ghost Recon has become. But then, the Advanced Warfare series is actually playable if you compare it to the newr R6 games...

Best rainbow six game for me was the original one made for the PS1, after that i just didnt get into any other rainbow six games

That's the last Rainbow Six game released anyway. Vegas was a good squad-based shooter, but it had nothing to do with Rainbow Six.

Brandon, don't tell me Vegas 1 and 2 were your first Rainbow Six games? I also haven't bothered getting them, after seeing some screens and trailers, i knew what to expect..
Raven Shield and Athena Sword are still one of the best fps games i've ever played.

I remember playing Rainbow Six 3 on the PS2, but at the time I wasn't really into shooters. Vegas 2 was recommened to me by a friend (And it was only a tenner ).

We have a new Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon (which looks amazing). Rainbow Six stopped being good with Raven Shield, maybe Vegas was okay but they ruined it with Vegas 2.
