MotoGP 2010
well the first race is upon us.. FP1 starts in Qatar today.. and im runnin around like a looney..

shall Rossi keep his title again this year? or shall Stoner/Lorenzo/Pedrosa take it away?

hope its a entertaining year again for the title hunt.. only time shall reveal its secrets and i hope you all enjoy this season as much as i shall

MotoGP has become so pussified in recent years. Underpowered engines and boring racing! Such a shame.. without Rossi MotoGP is nothing!

Bike racing will never be the sport of pussies, even if they start racing scooters.

I know next to nothing about racing motorcycles but I can imagine you still need an extensive ball collection to hang on to an 800cc racing bike!

Yhh this is true bikes are still ****ing incredbile, but compared to the 500cc days where the bike had an actual intent to kill you today's bikes are just so soft. It's of course a disease that's spread across all forms of motorsport... just a shame it's nibbled away at MotoGP

Budgets - every team has vastly more man hours now than they did 10 years ago. So engines, chassis, tyres, datalogging etc etc are refined to a far greater level than ever before. The cars (and bikes) are just too good these days... A 500cc monster would be tamed within weeks given the current conditions people go racing in.

Something is seriously wrong with you if you didn't enjoy Phillip Island last year, despite the lack of passing. Just Rossi and Stoner pushing it to the limit.

Yamaha has a video on YouTube of a little chit-chat between Spies and Lawson in which Spies states he'd like to ride a 500 some day. Lawson tells him don't bother, it'll just feel like a pile of crap to you.

That and later 1000cc bikes with getting on for 300 horsepower, although the introduction of traction control kind of blunted things.

There will always be an increased push towards efficiency in motorsports, and with efficiency comes boredom.

Infact it goes beyond motorsport, in the early days aircraft were noisy, slow and dangerous, and flying was seen daring, glamourous and exclusive. Now its just another dull form of mass transportation.

Space exploration is probrably the latest thing humans haven't quite conquered and made boring yet, which is why commercialised space travel is a very exclusive thing.

Motorsport is one of those sports like Snooker, fun to be involved in, not so fun to watch.

You can tell from the top speeds that Team Redneck doesn't have the same motor as the factory team, too.

Or maybe it's just because the riders are a little bigger.

I wouldn't say better, maybe closer racing as the bikes are not far from identical. Still rather watch motogp though, has more appeal, as does world superbikes

Watched it and I enjoyed 125 and Moto2 big time, as for MotoGP, Stoner should have grown a brain already, what the hell...

Rossi awesome as always, and Lorenzo and Pedrosa doing their jobs very well. Also kinda surprised by Spies, he looked mighty strong!

Looking forward to next races

only reason he is at the front is because of his starts.

he qualified 7th which was poor.

as hes 20kg less than everyone else he is able to pick up speed much quicker. we all know that as he showed it all last year, qualifies 10th or worse but still first into t1.

he was not injured, was the first year in 3 years since he was 100% fit for race 1.

the problem is he dont like the new chassis honda has, less stable in a str8 line but more stable on corner entry etc.. (you can see his bike wobble on the straight)

dovi however loves the new chassis and cant see why pedrosas complaining.

so yea dani not being able to use new equipment is why he went backwards

You're right he wasnt injured, dont know where I got that from.

However, I still believe he is a damn good rider, let him get to know the new bike, he has proven more than enough he is podium material.

ive never seen Dani say snything good about the machine he is riding.. even when he wins the race, he still complains about something on the bike..

IMO, if your bike feels perfect, you're probably not riding it hard enough.
