It was at SO Classic in the FOX. I can't believe I did so well. I just steered around all of the wrecks. I really dunno how I got 3rd....

EDIT: btw, the other 2 were on a demolition derby server i think, so those dont count.

I've got a replay back at home of what I think is my best race on SO Classic and that was only a 4th (or 5th) place finish! But then I did start 15th on a grid of 16 and lost out by 0.04 of a second to gain one more place in 10 laps

In fact I don't even remember my first win! The racing is what it's all about

yeah, that's the best strategy for SO classic. Unless one of the aliens is around you can easily get in the top few places just by driving a full race without making a major mistake. Never try and pass anyone, just hang back 25m until they stuff it into a wall and drive past at your leisure. I've won a few races in that combo, but not when one of the 41 guys is around :P

and if youre lucky youll start at the front of the grid next race and have an even better chance.

So true. Got two firsts, a second, and a third at SO Long Reversed yesterday and they were all utterly undeserved in terms of my lap times.
