Hi all,
I'm new to LFS.
I'm using it with Wine on OpenSUSE Linux 11.2 (I've read there are some other Linux users here) and overall, it's working great. I just have a weird problem with my wheel...
I must say I had not used that wheel for over a year, and at that time there was no force feedback for it in my system. So t's been a total surprise to see FF was working when I tried LFS a few days ago! It's working, but with a strange bug...
Before posting, I've checked everything I could find here on the forum about force feedback, and at first I thought my problem was similar to those of people reporting their wheels are shaking. But mine is actually slightly different: whenever I enter a race (or even before, at the screen just before starting the race, where you see the car turning) it starts turning to the right in steps... And once it reaches its maximum position it keeps trying to go further to the right.
If I hold it tight I can still use it but it's quite uncomfortable.
Just to make sure it did not come from the Linux driver (it could have) I tried a few other programs that are supposed to have force feedback. I didn't get any with V-Drift, but it worked just fine with FlatOut 2 (I've tried just minutes ago). So the problem's with LFS...
I've tried everything I could find during my searches on the forum, lowering the force feedback setting and such, but there's still the same effect... Identical with the 3 cars of the demo. So if anyone has an idea of why and how to solve the problem, I'll be glad to try any option you might think of! That would be the only reason that could prevent me from buying an S1 licence next month, actually.
Thanks.
Seb.
