Using 2 PC's at home with LFS / LAN setup?
I have 2 computers in my house with LFS installed and unlocked on each. What I want to do is have them both set-up so that I can race against friends when they come over. When I tried to join twice I got the "User is already on line" warning. Upon searching through some threads on the forum I found that is apparently "legal" to do what I am trying to achieve but this must be done by setting up a LAN. I'm not really that technical but could anyone confirm what I want to do is possible and point me in the right direction as to how I would set up a LAN? Both computers are on a wireless network though not connected to each other (As you can guess I'm not that technical) - Thanks in advance Paul
Just go multiplayer and create a new host, chose the track and in the next window select LOCAL by visibility...it will be LAN only...

To connect the other pc, chose local network and input the IP adress+port from the server PC to join...

Good luck!
Thanks Framaris I will give it a try - Do I need something called a Crossover cable or any additional hardware? Both computers access the internet wirelessly but are not "networked"
no it will work in your network if they are on the same router, to check what IP your pc has go Start/Run and type cmd, then type ipconfig.

The port is configured in server settings...

Make sure your firewall allows it, sometimes it popup in the back and connection fail because you don't see it..
