The thing is..
I just brought this new steeringwheel for my PC (Cheap one..)
I got it working perfectly with all of my driving games, but..
In LFS i cannot get the pedals to work! I've tried almost everything.. In the Axes / FF but they do not respond no matter what i do!

When i start the game i get this message:


Please help, this really sucks xD

the only thing i can think of trying...

unplug the wheel and reboot.
don't start any games that use the wheel.
plug the wheel back in.
start lfs.

if that doesn't work, maybe lfs doesn't support your wheel, but I can't be sure of that, because I don't know how lfs determines what is a wheel/gamepad/joystick/etc (although I believe it might be DX's directinput)

I found out what the problem is, but i don't know how to fix it!

When i go to gamepads in the control panel, i can see that the shifters behind the wheel:

Are set as the Y Axis and the pedals are set as button 1 and 3.
If it was right the shifters should be 1 and 3 and the pedals should be the Y Axis

Does anybody know how i can change this??!

LFS has fully customizable controls, all you have to do is assign correct functions to buttons and axes. I think the Controls menu in LFS is quite straightaway in this matter.

Well, when I'm in the controls menu nothing happens when i press them. I can assign them as buttons but not as Axes, and IF i assign them as buttons i only get max acc and max brake.. D:

Can you take a few screenshots of the Controls section? It might give us a better idea what problem exactly are you facing.

BTW, if you wish to post pictures on forums, it's better to upload them somewhere else (like imageshack) and post just a link, pasting them directly to the post makes it look really horrible...

The problem might lie in the wheels configuration, I assume you have the proper drivers and software for your wheel. Maybe there's something to tweak?
