Classes?
Has anyone taken a crack at a class system where after a certain amount of points (or miles on the server i guess) you advance to the second class

So say Class 1 is this

GT3- FXR etc with restrictions
GT2- FXR etc with less rest.
GT1- FXR etc no rest.

would be a good tool
Well, if your doing it by distance then you would need to update the data on the account on each MCI packet. From there you would check to see if the user has passed into the next bracket or not. You could do so with the use of an switch statement, as they tend to be faster.

Let's say that everyone starts at GT3, so on each new client that joins the server, a client that the server has never seen before, you would set their class to GT3. From there on, on each MCI packet you would check to see if the distance is met to get them into the next class. If they have met the distance requirements, and the class is not already GT2, then move the client into the GT2 class. And the same system can also be done for GT1.
Yes, that sort of tjing, but using TIM NL's Point system may be easier.

Also, Tim said he'd look into it when he had time.

What about XRG, XFG FBM
Well considering I'm not a demo racer and there are servers for that already...

Lapper is a Framework, not a complete out of the box system for all types of server, but that being said, if you look at the *lpr files that come in the package, you can get some good ideas on how to use the databases (setstoreduservalue, getstoreduservalue etc) and the other events like OnFinish to allocate points, track them and check who has access to what.

Of course you will need to be able to read the scripting language, but it's fairly basic as languages go, so have a crack at starting a script and then ask us specific questions on how to do specific things and we'll do the best we can to assist.
