Can someone PLEASE help me with my G25
I just got my G25 in the mail and I don't know how to put it in LFS. Is there a control setup? Is there a specific thing I have to do? Please tell me! I've been searching online all day and can't find anything that helps me! Also I don't have the owner's manual which makes it harder.
Not helping.... I already looked at those and I don't get how the shifter, clutch pedal, and steering wheel are not working. The buttons on all of those still register however, and whenever I switch to separated the accelerator and brake, one or the other, are locked on. The G25+LFS=Huge mess for me.
Is there something I can download? Please help!

From the above, did you have a look at the animation? (http://en.lfsmanual.net/wiki/Image:HowToAssignAxis_Ani.gif)

When I first got the G25, I too had some trouble getting it all sorted, but playing around a bit it all worked out.

Start with selecting seperate axes, set clutch as axis. Depress the pedals/steer the wheel and find out the axis that is assigned for the controls.

i.e. Mine are as follows... (the stuff one on the right of the screen)
Axis 0 : X Axis (wheel)
Axis 1 : Slider 0 (Acc)
Axis 2 : Slider 1 (Brake)

To set the steering axis, click "Steer" from the list in the middle of the screen. When you click, the avaible axes are highlighted (click Axis 0 - the axis assigined for the wheel). To select the acc axis, click "Throttle" and then the Axis 1 from avaible axes on the right... and so on.

Mind you, those are the axes assigned for my LFS.

Hope that helped.

E: Assign the axes in the Logitech Profiler and launch LFS from it.
The Gif helped a bit but now the shifter, and clutch pedal aren't working at all. The shifter registers but the clutch mysteriously doesn't. Is that supposed to happen? I'm still at a loss and I really just want to use my G25.
It's really incredibly simple, go to Options > Controls, make sure wheel / joystick is selected at the top, then click Axes / FF (it's the rightmost button of the small ones in the middle of the screen).
Now you'll see all available axes on the right side of the screen. At the top of that view, make sure the axes are unlocked, i.e. the "unlock" button's text is white. If you turn the wheel or operate the pedals, the bars on the right side will move. You may have to turn the wheel from lock to lock and fully depress all pedals to calibrate them.

From there on, your wheel and pedals are calibrated, meaning their full range of motion is recognized by LFS (and the wheel driver, which by itself can only calibrate the wheel, that's why it rotates from side to side on startup).

To get everything working, you simply select a function on the left side (actually more like the centre, but it's left of the axes list) by clicking it, for example Steer, and then the axis you want to assign to it, again by clicking it. If you don't know which axis does what, simply rotate the wheel or depress the pedal you're looking for and the bar next to it will move.

Make sure you've selected the clutch as Axis, and not button.

When you press the clutch pedal, does any of the available axes move?
(for me, its Axis 4 - Y Axis for clutch)

Is the shifter in the H mode or sequential mode? (Are you able to move the shifter in the gates?)

Mind you, if you select the gear up/down (seq shifting) with the shifter, you'll have trouble with the H. Set the gear up/down (seq shifting) to the paddles. That'll free up the H shift (just make sure its in H-mode).
I have done everything you told me and it's still not working. Anything else there is to do?
Options/Driver/ "settings for sequential gearbox"
Autoclutch = No

Options/Controls "Gear shift mode" = Shifter (this adds "shifter" button lower down)

Click the shifter button and assign each gear one by one.

Options/Display "show pedals" = Yes (now you will see if clutch is working clutch = blue bar.

maybe some of the above will help, also maybe re check the links blunder posted above.

Good luck

SD.
When I try to assign each gear in the H pattern, it only counts 1st and 2nd as if it is in sequential mode
You know I'm starting to think that this G25 is broken...
Have you set the shifter into H mode, you have to twist 180deg the bit on the shifter to change between seq and H pattern
It can be hard to twist, just wiggle the stick a bit as you do it.

Maybe it is set to H already and you can select all 6 gears?
if so put it back to seq then H again on the shifter, just so you know its in place then try again.

did you get the clutch working ok?

Keep us posted

SD.
Did that, and I turned on the pedals and the clutch was full on. Had it set to axis, and did everything that was on here. I'm now at a complete loss. I even tried the G25 in Street legal and the clutch, nor 3rd-6th gear worked, however I'm not sure if that is a compatible game.

In LFS if you click the little "I" next to the clutch axis it will invert the axis so it works properly IIRC I had to do this with all pedals.

if you go into the windows control panel and go to game controllers, select the g25 properties, you should be able to check that all the buttons and gears are working correctly.

Sounds like the shifter might not be working properly, can you physically put the stick into every gear?

SD.
And if all else fails with your description of the problems, upload screenshots of the revelant things, ie control options, profiler setup etc.
Yeah it goes into every gear. I'll try the control panel idea, and invert the clutch, see what happens
On control panel, how many buttons are there supposed to be? Mine said 12. Also as before 3rd-6th gear didn't ragistor nor did the clutch on control panel.
Are you sure you have the right drivers installed? The ones from the logitech site?
after you go into control panel, and into the g25 where you can test everything, after every button and thing you move, something should either make a sound, or happen on the screen...so if that isnt true then you have a bad g25...or you need proper drivers.

try there for the drivers, and run the ligitech profiler while you are running lfs.
dont worry about the settings or how to use it yet..lets get it working and we can share

Have you actually asigned each physical gear position to the correct gear in LFS, using the 'shifter' tab?
yes yes and yes and still having this weird problem. However on control panel only 1st and 2nd are even listed as buttons. 3rd-6th aren't listed on control panel. Nor is the clutch. It's like the G25 is only expecting that of it. It's very weird.
re-install the drivers.

Good luck

SD.
removed g25 drivers,
reboot,
install (most up2date) drivers (with no wheel connected),
follow the instrustions on the installer and plug wheel in when asked to,
reboot.
once that is done. launch LFS and only concern yourelf with getting the axis working at this stage. once that is done, move onto assigning the buttons for your gear shifter. once that is done, assign the rest of the buttons you think you'll need (traction control, pitlane limiter, look left+right).
and finally, stay calm. it can be very annoying and you will end up in a fluster and you might even begin to question the intelligence of the wheel itself .
Oh! I think I found the problem! My computer is a windows 7 64 bit and I think I may have downloaded a 32 bit by accident! How do you uninstall the driver software?
control panel, add/remove programs. reboot.
