Hi guys. I'm currently running version S2, Z25, yes, very old install I know, just got around to playing it again, though I never made an account before, so maybe I'll add my account to this one so I can play online.. anyway!

So I was looking for some drifting setups and I downloaded a couple, but I don't seem to have the lfs/data/settings folder? There's one called setups, which seems to contain the default ones, but not the ones I've made in game, and when I copy the downloaded ones in, and fire up the game, they don't load.

Any advice guys?

"Setups" is the correct folder name for patch Z setups. If .set files you downloaded and put in the setups folder don't show up in-game, it's because they're named incorrectly. All setups should start with the 3 letter acronym like XRG_. Patch X and earlier will have the file names starting with XR GT_ which wouldn't work. Also consider that setups from older patches may not be quite as good in this one.
