Ive been playing LFS demo for a while and im gonna get s2 when I can get some money... But the system i use includes the virtual H-shifter. Which basicly makes the computer think that its pressing keyboard keys. The problem is when Im in lfs and i program the non and i repeat NON-reserved keys. It makes a beeping noise that just wont quit.... Most of the keys have been asigned as numbers so all of the gears exept 1 and 2 dont make the beeping. but when I shift. The lights in the car go on and off. My turn signals and headlights are ALSO asigned to my gear keys... Is that even possible?

Is there so me way i can get them to quit by tweaking the program or is it fixed in s2? Help would be greatly admired.... thnx in advance.

If I get what you mean... You have your gears assigned to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Those are reserved keys in LFS... 1=vote, 2=save replay, 3=headlights, 4=ideal line, 5=not sure what it is..., 6=not sure, 7=left blinker, 8=right blinker, 9=hazard lights, 0=turn off blinkers...
That's why you get lights turn on and off in your car and these sounds...
Try mapping these buttons to some other keys, like QWERTZ...

It is heard when you press an unused key I think... Not sure though, is anything happening when you press the key that makes that noise, and is it mapped to any button on keyboard, if yes, which one?

This was comented somewhere in this forum before, the solution for this issue with the sound was to replace the wav file producing that sound by a blank one

To save searching, I uploaded a blank wav files that I use

Included is:
InvalidKey.wav << I think this one is the fix for the noise
Error.wav << made a blank version of that incase it wasn't

I thought about doing that but i wasent sure because I was afraid it would mess something up. Its fixed now!
