Just to update this post from two months ago: I can now fly helicopters pretty well, and know how to fly UAVs (even if they get shot down 30 seconds after take-off). I've unlocked all the equipment, which gives me a great deal of choice in every game. It's really good that you can change your setup mid-game, which means you can adapt to any situation. I have no idea what I saw in MW2 after playing this game.

I found an awesome solution - use the optics package specialisation. You can hover across the other side of the map, but be able to see the enemy base in perfect clarity. I once spent an entire Rush (attacker) game in the UAV, and racked up a lot of spot assists and kills and never got shot down, thanks to the optics package. And yes, we won (although my squad must have hated me).

I thought the general consensus was that it is pretty damn awesome on PC. That's what I thought of it anyway...

Yeah, it runs great. Hasn't been any patch lately, but that's not really needed I think, they have made some new map-mode packs though, which is... a new map in DICE's eyes.

I play it from time to time. Really waiting for the Vietnam DLC to come out, then I'll pick it up more again.

I was playing it alot, but they still did not fix the problem which is that your PC crahes. It's either PB or onboard...

just buy it 2nd hand. on ebay they go for £15, sometimes less.

I'm looking for online reasons only, i've finished the story mode ages ago and i'm not sure if second hand accounts have clean(i'm not sure how the system works on bc2 though) onlinehistory.

still seems to be plenty of people playing the pc version, i drop in once or twice a week for an hour or two, i usually end up on german servers for some reason

btw never had any problem with the pc crashing

I have the PS3 version it works fine online. I decided against a pc upgrade to quad core just for one game. plus no one has a performance advantage on console.
