anyone got it?? great game, came out last week. think gt4 but with bikes. and really well done too, though with the options etc, it feels a bit half baked.
got plenty of pictures too

Yeah it does look superb. Been thinking about buying it too, but I've heard it's even more arcade than GT4 is.. not really that surprised since simulating bikes on a PS2 controller would be quite silly.

Might buy it, might not. Haven't decided yet.
as a biker, i love it. if you want a bike sim, and a proper one, then just get a bike. if you wanna piss about with your fav bikes(well, most of them) and take cool pics then get this.
i am thinking about buying it, too.
think i should check the video store soon...

btw. your last picture rockz

So this game is for PS2?

EDIT: Meh I just checked it and it is for PS2
It's made by Polyphony Digital (Same that make GT4), and it's heavily based on GT4, same circuits (Few taken out, a few added), very similar menu's, same lisence tests, can upgrade riders gear and you win bikes in challenges rather than buy them...

all in all, probably the best motorbike game on a console imo
You should try TT Superbikes http://www.game.co.uk/ViewProd ... ?cat=10252&mid=323010 . Its quite realistic, although you can get into some rediculous slides, but thats about the only thing that lets it down ... and the Isle of Man track is fantastic, 17mins or more per lap requires a lot of concentration, and you have to tell yourself not to push too much, takes some learning too Fantastic

So whats tourist trophy like ... realistic handling? Does it have a proper on-board camera, and whats the sense of speed like ?
I'm toying getting a PS2 just to get my grubby mits on those games. I'm a PC gamer to the core, but sometimes consoles do get the better games, which sucks.
Meh I just cant control anything on this joystick, I hate them hehe
Physics-wise, TT Superbikes is a much better game than Tourist Trophy. Both have onboard views that convey a sense of speed quite well. One of my main complains about TT Superbikes, though, is the extremely exagerated draft/slipstream effect. It's very common to find yourself going into a corner side by side with an AI after a long straight and get pushed off the track as you brake. In Tourist Trophy, however, it's no problem to brake as hard as you can going into a corner at full lean.

My favorite bike sim on PC is still Superbike 2001. GP500 is a close second.
looks fun. Maybe i should get it. But i'm savin' for PS3 'cause it's suppose to have insane graphics(and probably no simulation).
Quote from Matrixi :Yup, it's also coming for PC.

Mr Matrixi, if that's true and it turns out to be as good as it looks, may i put you on my Christmas card list . I've had a bit of a shit year so far, but something like this will turn it into a fantastic year in an instant

I've been longing for a quality bike sim for years. MotoGP was good, but, was still an arcade game at heart, and i dont think we'll be getting bike's in LFS any time soon

Ahhh F4 heaven here we come (fingers crossed)
Bikes are great but problem in bike games is that there is not proper control methods, like we have wheels for carsims. And that Tourist trophy thingy, I think its just hilarious to have only 4 opponents on track the same time, 4 bikes, 4. Thats what you get when you make games for old hardware

Hehe, in that trailer Matrixi posted. That no tourist only trophies part is funny :P
Actually there are proper bike controllers available, but they're really hard to find, and i'm not sure if they'd be up to the "quality" of a DFP for example, but you can get them. And if a bike sim was ever released that's on par with LFS, i'd go and get one, even if it cost hundreds of pounds/euro's/dollers.
For me, it would be a dream come true, although admittedly, Suzi Perry wearing nothing but baby oil would be be my first choice of the dreams coming true thing. (oops, did i just say that out loud )
Yes I have seen those where there is that handle bar or whatever its called. But you cant lean with it :P And before I would buy one of those there should be real simulations made. And I think I would cost a fortune. If someone would be so clever, that would make that kind of controller, a cheaper one, and make it work with all systems from PC to Wii...hmm
yeah, i think we maybe thinking the same thing, if theres a market for it, you could make a fair amout of money.
I've just been having a look at a few, but they're cheap and nasty Thrustmaster and Ducati ones, but i'm sure i've seen one that was about £150,
I'll get some pics

here's a couple of the cheap ones, no FF either , both old and only £30 Btw, both of these do lean

boo ****in who, if you want a 'sim' then save a little more than £35 and geta b actual bike. its a game and games are for fun. most people have fun on this game, so its done its job. thats one thing that gets me going....this site is constantly on about realistic this and that....stop playing the game and get onto a track if you want realism...its not that expensive and a hell of alot more fun.
The problem it, often bike games are realistic, which means they aren't as fun as the could, for instance with Tourist Trophey, if you brake into a corner, then dab the accelerator you drift very wide and can't continue turning, this is a bad thing and wouldn't happen....
what would happen is that the bike would be unsettled and you would drift wider than normal. but like i sadi, if you want realism, get a bike. games are for fun.
If games are for fun, you think that real bikes arent fun? I would love a real bike but I need some years to drive a proper one, and because everything with wheels on it is so freking expensive to own and buy I would need money and job. And really dont know if the finnish weather and the summer is so great for driving a bike, I'd rather have a car with folding roof :P. Little more offtopic but, how long is the bike season there in UK?

Who the hell is that aimed at ?

Probably about the same as here in the northeast US: around 6 months, 8 if you're hardcore. If I have somewhere to go, I'll ride if it's above 50F/10C. If I don't, I'll ride if it's above 60F/15C

Most of the guys I know don't ride if it's heavy rain/snow/wind, othewise they ride all year round.
the biking season in the uk is 12 months.....if your a real man.

and mazz, that was aimed at everyone who is constantly moaning about games being unrealistic or not a proper sim etc. if you want realistic, get in a car or on a bike or whatever. or i can come round whoevers house and everytime they fall off in TT ill run a powersander over their arm and punch them in the head for not wearing leathers and a helmet while playing....anyone wanna bitch and moan now??lol
