speaking of the dE car... like tweak said a long whiles ago.. "it looks like a boat" which.. i have to agree lol.. still plus, i dont want to have some concept car in LFS really (not.. speaking RA type concept car, but something that is completely out of this world and just plain unreal)
Yeah i fear it would really take away some of its simulation shine, but a concept car wouldnt be totaly out of line, somthing that could be real but is just the LFS devs dream car, if they dont already have it in lfs

If you wish to continue airing your retail greivances about dE the there is a topic in the off-topic section where you are welcome to continue that line of discussion.
Stecki, who drew a piece of automotive concept art, BR, who were (still are) an LFS racing team and Tony Pearce, who asked the question about the car (this topic), are probably not responsible for people's dE retail woes so I don't think they should have to endure the complaints of others in this topic nor defend themselves here nor be lumped in with those whom some members may have a real beef with.
What's so unrealistic about the stecki mobile? i'm not a car designer, never been one.
It does have an unconventional look, though I wouldn't call it ugly.

Please give Gunn a break, don't bash him for this. He is moderating here and doing a really great job, one that is unpaid, takes quite a lot of time and thought, and gets very few compliments. Now, on one occasion, in some people's opinion, he has overstepped the mark, because he moved some posts to a "safe" location.
Why, because the thread had gone off topic, with *arguments* and *insults* thrown in. Some of which were unnecessary.
Gunn has said that he can send any of you the text of your posts, on request, so you can re-post in in the off-topic section. What could be fairer than that? Please take it easy on him because it's not an easy job, moderating, and even though this is done in a relaxed way here, sometimes, the moderator is destined to step in when things get "ugly". And by "ugly" i don't mean, the genuine discussions about dE problems - i'm talking about when people start insulting eachother - not pretty on the forum and they should use PMs instead for personal insults!
OK lets wrap this thread up. We are not getting that fugly ( see, knew I would I get to use it somewhere ) car, I think thats been made clear. It was just a concept, an Idea, that never happened.
Just looking at it, it looks like something that is trying to be aerodynamic - something sketched by a 14 year old who has no idea about car dynamics... it looks like a car whos form does not follow function. Frankly, I'm glad that we won't be getting it because it was probably designed without any research or anything - it would have been a a flaw in what is otherwise a great simulation because everything is so extermely well researched before implemented. Hopefully the devs give Orion a chance to put his RA GTR in
I think Scawen is very right with what he said, because being a moderator always gives you responsibility for the others, and as soon as you have this kind of power, you will automatically have friends and enemies, no matter how good you do your job, simply because you cant suit everybody
He would be doing much worse moderator job if he did nothing at all istead of just reading and writing every now and then, as all the normal users do, and in the end people would be unhappy either, and in addition to that, the forum wouly be much messier.
Please tell us the truth. Why cant you allow people to express their view on DE?

fast. and better finetune those reasons for deletion with your rsc lovin mod. he said it was about it being ot, which obviously is a fake reason. u said insults. there were none so bad that wouldnt cause many others threads to be instantly deleted also.
and dont give me that its not deleted, its moved bullshit. save it for the oratorium in some dictatorship. what matters to the people is what the people see. we see deletion. why should we even take the word from someone that already deleted our posts? is that how you treat your friends in your house?
u either want it community driven (with the good and bad) or if u wanna control things to this point im out and i hope many others. simply coz that would mean in 2005 there are still people that wouldnt like to contribute to an rsc part 2 were the posts are numbers and they only suit if they match the shady background guideline.
be honest, replace in the thread "dE" or "rsc" with "codemasters" or "some inocuous crap", AND THAT THREAD WOULD STILL BE HERE.

In this case i do understand u giving up on a size-of-reply excuse since there is nothing to discuss. You either allow us to type about the topic or not. Since topic was mainly about dE car and the experiences it brought to people, you either type your own, read others, or just ignore the thread.

And why shouldnt the mod admit who he is, what he does at rsc and why that maybe relevant to the whole thread deletion. Why are people so secret of their past allowed to erase other peoples views on things that might relate to that past.
Im sorry you've put your nose on this, but since u did and took side, my unrequested advice for authority sake, is that you stick to it. Everything was ok until a certain action happened. i didnt do that action. i protested and still am protesting against that action. and it wont be me making the next action either. but remember, everything in this world is about balance.

i guess i aint really used to being unbanned on lfs forum, sorry. dumb me thought i and others could post on titled topic. and discuss opinions in case anything to discuss in them existed. this seemed more like a background request than anything else. Would you like to contribute to a place that hinders and narrows your speech spectrum, erases tons of posts without warning, categorizes any protest you do as bashing or scene making, and above all, doesnt respect your input at a spasmatic random pace?
Within my naivity, i found it unnacceptable that thoughts and opinions are deleted, please dont do this in future.

To make things easier, why don't kid and gunn discuss this by pm, maybe gunn sending kid his posts back, or the whole thread? Then he can do whatever he wants with them - post them again (even though they wont fit in this thread anymore) - read them again and write the whole text in real few words - or throw it away... whatever.
I dont know if it's really necessary to make so much trouble for a rather secondary thing... Just a few lines of text, who cares :P

When people are with each other, there WILL always be trouble in a way, but compromizes and forgiving can help VERY much there. Just not seeing things too serious can make many things much easier.
And I dont only want to adress kid with that, for every conflict you need at least 2 people (like we learned from mummy :P)
