Both versions are within same mod, only with difference launchers. One for DD1 cars, one for DD2 cars.

A guy named Harmalarm have for some time developed a mod for our beloved Carmageddon 2. This mod is a total convention, and it's a own game now. The mod is sized 12 MB, but it is possible to download the DD2 intro movie and use that if wanted.

MOD FEATURES
The mod features 13 racetracks, 6 from destruction derby 1 and 6 from destruction derby 2. For pure anhialation you can do some damage on the 5 different bowls, 1 from dd1 and 4 from dd2.
There are two different game car modes, dd1 or dd2 cars. Apart from the original franchise, you can now play with ALL the cars you want.
LAN play is working! And yes, VLAN is also possible, but only if you have a very high speed internet connection.
The rest of the game has been fully modified. All sounds and menu images have been replaced and even the gameplay physics have been altered to suit a destruction derby enviroment.

A new Hamachi room has been created, a managed one this time.
The network id is: 038-969-673 (enter this where you usualy type the room name)
There is no password.

Sadly even if it's a managed network there's still that annoying 16 users limit, so from time to time I guess I'll evict some users, if it happens to be you, don't take it personaly and join back!

A dedicated Hamachi server? That's real kind of you, and I think it would be fun having one

I think there is a limit on Hamachi free version, on like 16-20+ users pr. network or something.. but tbh. I think that's fair enough.

whatever program you guys use, ill host and have on almost all the time ( excluding the usual pc maintenence... provider downtime electricity cut outs etc )

Hamachi seems to be the best suitable program, since the launchers within the game are set to work with it. If there are other programs that emulates LAN networks they probally could do the same trick
