fraps records 9 fps in lfs?
so when i try to record lfs white fraps it cuts the fps to only 9 fps? but in css i can record white 60 fps fine?

But when i turn off aa ii can record in 30 fps?

And i know that aa dosent do that much

It dosent matter if i set fraps to record in 30 fps or 60 fps?

Spec:
E8400 @ 4 ghz
9600 GSO
6 gb of ram

and i know my gpu bottelnecks my system
Fraps is an fps eater, especially with aa. There's nothing you can really do about that AFAIK. If you can't get decent fps you should better record in half speed(f2 IIRC) with LFS set to 15 fps, and then put the videos back into normal speed during the video editing process, and save the sounds later on with VirtualDub(see below).

You should have a read to this anyway, a very useful tutorial that will teach you the basics.

squidhead's your guy to ask about this. he seems to be the "go to" guy when it comes to LFS videos.
I think css (Counterstrike) has less 'action' ... With LFS the complete screen changes rapidly and constantly.

I had that problem. Taking LFS out of full screen mode stopped it getting stuck on 9 fps. Even though the LFS window was virtually the same size, I was able to record at 45 - 50 fps rather than 9.

Give that a go
Disable antialiasing in LFS, force it in nvidia control panel and set transparency antialiasing to multisampling.
Setting the display to 16bit instead of 32bit also makes a huge difference.

Makes a significant difference in recording fps, but also makes huge difference in picture quality.
Try a different screen capturing program, like CamStudio (free) or Camtasia (not free).
im using a half capturing and my fps saves me up to 20 even on a biggest tracks like KY3 or a loaded objects like SO4

EDIT my specs is
945G Intel Video with 2.5GB Ram on Windows XP

Fraps depends about 80% on the cpu power.
to be honest i'm using a laptop with just a minor modification so thats why it runs smooth on 945G video card
Record at half or quarter speed, if you have 15FPS at quarter speed, when you speed up the recorded video 4 times, you will have 60FPS at real Speed.

This is how all capture videos on LFS preserving quality and FPS.

...or just use kkapture instead of Fraps, which can capture at any framerate you want, up to 999 fps, obviously preserving quality.

but he's getting 9fps. as stated in the first post. he would get 36fps using that meathod.
