You are like me, i am new to this also and likewise i am on mouse and keys at present. Unfortunately you like me need some analogue controller to help control accelaration etc. some cars i find such as the Fo8 i find using a manual shift and start off in a higher gear helps - certainly on the Oval.

I'm going to use my Ps Wheel and hope that helps

hth a bit.

No doubt others will have possible solutions.

I notice you are S2 licensed. If you can afford the game, surely you can afford some kind of wheel? I promise you, your life will get a lot happier.

Have you really been playing GPL all these years with a keyboard?

Anyway, if you insist on sticking with the keyboard, or genuinely can't afford a wheel, I think there are posts elsewhere on the forum describing some of the things you can do with the button rate settings to make your experience a little less horrible.

Best of luck.
however i drove gpl very succesful! think i have to buy a wheel, the game have to be great, just here good things about it
Some people do manage to be quite quick using a keyboard or a key/mouse combo.

You have to play with the settings a bit and develop some tapping skills. It's hard work, but possible.

I got a wheel as soon as i got the demo though, completely hooked ever since!
I drive using the mouse because I am unemployed and can't afford even a cheap wheel (girlfriend got me my S2 license for my birthday ) and I find that I can be reasonably competitive. Not WR pace but enough to race online.
I can't control RWD cars at all (except on the oval) so I stick with FWD or AWD cars and manage fine. I occasionally have to move the torque split forwards on AWD cars but other than that I have no problems.
So, get into the FXO GTR and have fun!
If you want to control the cars smoothly you can try the method in the picture. I use this for 1 year and I can drive all cars with it. It takes a little practise but I think it's not so hard to control the cars this way.
