Shifting Force Feedback
This would be a great feature also people who own a FF joystick but not RS Labs shifter (or whatever is it called).
Anyway: You could assing shifting to joy's Y axis (sequential gearbox) or to both X and Y (H pattern).
Then FF would secure the lever in the right position when a car is in gear and also could provide you the feeling of 'synchro-free' box or shifting without clutch depressed...

I'm really proud of myself for this idea I must say so no critics please

That's already possible. Take a look at this software called FFShifter.
I already use it.

after all it's been a guess...
Not only the FFShifter utility, but wasn't there a discussion a long time ago with Scawen about him wanting to implement this directly into LFS? Therefore, if true, I think it is not only already suggested, but something Scawen already would like to do sometime.
