there was the turbo button (which did nothing), intel pentium @ 150mhz, 16mb ram and around 500MB HDD, i remember when I wanted to install Unreal (epic game) I had to remove everything else from there, after few months (or years? i dont remember) we bought Voodoo 2 3Dfx and a sound card, upgraded ram up to 48MB...
all i did on that computer was playing prince of persia, aladdin, corridor 7, wolfenstein 3D, ugh, blood and prehistoric 2
After that:
133MHz Pentium (with a 1MB 3DFx Voodoo 1 card that I fitted myself )
333MHz Pentium II with 2MB 3DFx Voodoo 2 card (my first computer I paid for myself)
3GHz Pentium 4 with a Radeon 9800XT
AMD Athlon 64 X2 with Radeon 1950XTX
Core i7 920 with GTX285 (my current PC)
i still have my first computer... as far as i know it still works... i know the monitor does, although the cable is starting to go on it.
it's some no-name p1-133 with one of those bastard PC-Chips motherboards... a whole 16mb of sdram, a 2mb ati video card, an awe32, and a usr 33.6k modem. got it pretty much around the time win95a was released, so for the time it was decent hardware.
i had a mmx-166 chip in it overclocked to 180 for a while, but even with the EDO ram slots, you can't get 128mb of ram into it.
now it just sits in the corner of my computer room because i can't be arsed to throw it out, or at least put it into a closet.
My first computer, god knows what spec it was but it was running Windows 98. The only thing of note was how you had about 10 minutes from start up until the processor overheated and sprung from its mounting and the whole thing froze. Could just about run Microprose GP1 and GPL. That was getting on for 10 years ago.
