That's ridiculous. Neither MoE or IGTC does that unless the disconnect is "suspicious." The loss of time from the disco is penalty enough.

(Not to mention it gives German teams an even bigger advantage...)

yes, they do. Which means that for example my timeout lost the team around 5 minutes. I timed out at the last split, which is about 2 mins, and then -1 lap which they add 2 mins and 50 sec. :P So about 5 mins lost for getting a dc in the last sector. So if you time out, you lose 2 mins and 50 sec + the time you had driven on the lap before you got dc.

This is imo extremely tough. It is like kicking a person thats already down.

by an intentional disconnect, where you cross the finish line, 'pull the plug' and then have someone else or yourself rejoin in case your engine is broken.

though, this is something we as drivers/managers should have pointed at before the race started. It is a bit late, but I still hope the admins can change the rule, even though its in the middle of the race. But if they dont, we simply have us self to blame, imo. We could have said this before the race was underway :P But hey, those things arent always that easy to spot

They may be removed after the race. That means no +1 lap penalty for disconnect so far... So, wait for the results after the 24H. We arent inhumane. So just keep cool

So will the +1 lap be taken off if the driver has to disconnect and then rejoin?

try to get a clear ruleset for the next time. couldn't really read anywhere until what time you can modify your lineup..
