are these two games sort of linked in an online community?

Just thought I'd ask, as I do play CRC 2005 sometimes..

If you see the term CRC in the LFS community, its normally the Clean Racers Club thats being referred to, rather than CRC2005.

As far as I'm aware, the two games aren't linked as such. I'm sure we have a number of community members that are the same though
