CoRe Racing Returns to Endurance Victory Lane!
For the first time since the final round of last year's Masters of Endurance season, CoRe Racing has reached the top step of the podium in an endurance race. This past Saturday, the CoRe nGT squad of Luis Barbosa, Pedro Santos, Ben Keough, and guest driver (and ex-CoRe member) Arni Arnason took first place in the annual Racing Minds 16 Hour race at Fern Bay Black Reversed, by a convincing three-lap margin. The team took the lead early at the hands of Luis Barbosa, easily the fastest nGT driver in the field, and continued to build it over the next nine hours. Some troubles followed in the remaining six hours, and both Sonicrealms Racing and Race4Fun put serious pressure on the team, but they held on to collect a much-needed win.
Meanwhile, in GT1 the team of Corey Green, Toni Tossavainen, Ruben Blasco, and out-of-retirement Dave Souders put in a very solid run to give CoRe 5th in class despite dealing with some very "interesting" traffic on server #2 and a race-long cross-server battle with Team Inferno. It was a great effort from the guys and a well-deserved result.
CoRe Racing looks forward to the upcoming endurance season with high hopes and lots of enthusiasm!
