So i downloaded lfs, then i click to start the game, then i get a black screen(as if the game were to start) then i goes away and im back on my desktop screen... Can anyone help me figure this out!

Hi, just checking: have you downloaded the lastest version (Z28) from LFS.net? ( http://www.lfs.net/?page=downloads )

It would be alot of things. You could reinstall and see if it works.

As it could be alot of issues, if you post your PC's specs (gfx card etc.), operating system etc it could aid others to help you out.

E: Is this the first time you're installing LFS in your current PC? If it was installed earlier, what have you changed between then and now?

i dont have any idea what my pc system is, i think i have have windows 7, and i have had lfs on this computer but that was when i was running windows XP. i have a compaq s4000j if that will help any.

try to delete the cfg.txt and start the game. It seems to me that it's a problem with the resolution stored in that file.

LFS opens up (working) but you go back to the desktop screen after the black screen, OR
After the black screen and then the desktop but LFS is not running at all? Does LFS show up in the task bar (would clicking it will take you to the game, or would it blackscreen again?)

E:AFAIK LFS works with a lot of onboard graphics cards; but card might not be compatible with LFS...

Do other games work? Tried updating the GFX-Card drivers? (If there are any).
You can try redownloading the game, may help.
