Well This would be my worst nightmare come through, diesels taking over in motorsports.
In Holland ive spectated some diesel races---> awfull, no engine sound just tyre's screaming and some wind noise. BAH
Peugeot will also enter a Diesel next year in Le Mans...and because there so economic they will do less stops and have a big advantage. Diesels will take over, it looks like...
Dint he invent something which makes it more easy to quit smoking( dont know the english word) So he cures peoples addiction and makes a lot of money from it.
XC - what do you mean "what he did to Road Atlanta?" Albeit I haven't studied the place, the only change I know of is moving the pits to the inside instead of the outside of the front straight. IMHO, a good move for safety.
Zytek can't survive. They didn't even last the 4 hour race at Laguna Seca.... I think they lasted only 2 hours. And it was the same problem little mechanical issue (gearbox or something).
I love their car the most along with the Pescarolos, but they aren't reliable cars I guess heh.
about road atlanta, he turned the entire life of road atlanta from the love of cars to a giant theme park with a ferris wheel and all; tore up the moto-x track for all that ... junk
watching it now, im really not to worried about who will ein either, im just kinda curious since so many teams have already been into the pit boxes, it doesnt look like anyone is going to finish lol
I'm rooting for my beloved Aston's and a few minutes ago they took the lead of GT1! I'm so happy, I could raid the drinks cupboard ... if I had a drinks cupboard that is !
Anyone else find it ironic that Peter Dumbreck is driving a car produced by a former Airplane company?
I stick with my previous predictions at this point.
@Tweak - Yea, the Creationsport team has a horrible gearbox, and always have. I don't understand why they don't get rid of that piece of junk and get a new gearbox. I don't root for them anymore as theyre really not contenders most of the time. I don't follow LMES/ELMS/whatever it's called now, so I don't see the close races they have.
That seems a bit...overdramatic. What exactly do you mean by that?
Audi probably will win, and while I don't think it's doomsday, it has made LeMans boring. They're pouring an order of magnitude more resources into their program than the other LMP1 class teams, all but assuring themselves of victory. That Pescarolo even comes close is a credit to them. It'd be nice to see more manufacturers involved at the top level to make things more competitive. Maybe Peugeot will give them a run in '08. Audi wins = yawn.
The Aston and Vette are putting on a bit of a show, though. It's a shame the other Vette dropped back so far--I'm a big fan of Mad Max Papis.
And now, I'm off. Speed TV's coverage resumes in ten minutes.
I've woken up at 9:00 and it was on TV, the channel showed it all the night. So pity 1 Convers and 1 RAR cars are out. Now they've interrupted LeMans with Renault Series races.
lol i found out yesterday that lister is an old generator company after tearing the one we have down here in the bahamas out of our generator house, its an old R.A. Lister generator.. got 1 cylinder lol, not sure how much horsepower, but.. all i know the thing weighed more than our tractor so we all had to sit on back of it to lift it out; i'll post a picture if i can get one when i get back home
as for the spyker lol my dad asked me what it was, at first i thought it was a supra but was like.. why would anyone run a supra.. but, after looking at the drivers and cars i figured it was a spyker so i looked a picture up; sure is cool looking
Well some plucky Brits put paid to your GT2 drivers challenge - but I still cant get over Aston Martin. One car drops oil on the track and spends ages in the pits, another car spins off on the other ones oil and looses a bucket load of time, and the other - leading the class and 4th overall for most of the race goes and does an "Aston Martin racing at LeMans". If ever you need proof that luck is a tangeable thing, just look at Aston's record at Le Mans. . I'm gutted.
